Vince Silva is currently the head wrestling coach at Santa Ana College. While wrestling for Oklahoma State University, Silva was the #1 ranked Division 1 college wrestler in the country; A 2-time All-American, and Big 8 Champion at 158 lbs. He has successfully competed nationally and internationally and also earned Freestyle All-American status. Following his collegiate wrestling career, he coached at the University of Nebraska where he was awarded "Big 8 Assistant Coach of the Year". He also coached at University of Minnesota where he was mentored by the legendary coach, Jay Robinson. Silva, who is considered to be one of the best wrestling technicians in the country, has brought the Santa Ana College Wrestling Team its first State Title in 31 years and was named "California State Coach of the Year" for 2005.
