The photos abve have been provided as a comparison of the gis pictured. This is a size A2 comparison on a person 5'10-170 lbs. The following jiu-jitsu kimonos have been washed and dried: Vulkan Pro Light; Krugan Tribal, HSU. As you can see, the Vulkan fits better; however, the Krugan is snugger fitting and some prefer that type of fit. The HSU is very economical gi and fits well. The pants in this photo have not been washed and will shrink to about the length of the Vulkan pants. The Perfect Gi for Kids and Beginners! The Vulkan brand (left) and HSU (far right). Vulkan gis are known for their light weight. They are very comfortable and kep you cool in warmer environments. This gi is sturdy and well-built for training as well as competition. Less expensive than Koral and more comfortable in my opinion. I like my Krugan too but the pants and jacket have shrunk. The jacket still fits OK but the pants have shrunk quite a bit. The Vulkans are pre-shrunk and will not shrink after being washed. Low-heat drying or hang drying is highly recommended. The HSU brand gis are high quality jiu-jitsu kimonos and are the perfect alternative to the more expensive gis. They hold up well and can be used in tournaments as well. There's no need to invest in the more expensives gis until you know you want to stick with your jiu-jitsu training.
